Company dinner photos on a live screen

At a company dinner, photos stay on one phone or in a chat. If the room has a screen, Live Wall can show what attendees upload with a QR, with no app and no account. This guide explains how to set that up without promising more than the product does.

What the screen shows and what it does not

Live Wall shows photos only, in a reduced version. It does not project videos or audio. From the gallery, Hide from Live Wall takes a photo off the screen and Show on Live Wall puts it back. It stays stored, it can be downloaded and it leaves an open screen within seconds. This also works on the trial, within the 20 photos.

Open the link in the browser of the laptop or Smart TV and switch it to fullscreen. The QR can stay on that screen. Spectator Mode is the link for another table, someone who could not come or a second screen. With the 4-digit PIN, watching requires that code.

Where to put the QR at a company dinner

  • On each table, on a standing card, next to the name or the number. That is where people have a phone between courses.
  • On the welcome slide or the printed programme, with a large code and a light background. A small QR in the footer of a slide cannot be read from the back of the room.
  • On the Live Wall screen itself, for anyone looking at the stage who does not have the card in front of them.
  • If there is a registration desk, leave a copy there. Early arrivals can upload the photo from the door.

If you turn the PIN on, it has to be written next to the code. At a company event nobody is going to ask a waiter for a number that is not on the card. One line is enough: “Scan and upload a photo from the dinner. No app.” Ask people not to photograph screens with internal data, badges, or anyone who said they do not want to be in a photo.

Who decides what is projected

At a dinner with clients, a bad photo on the big screen is seen in full. You can leave Live Wall off or turn it on and take down what you do not want. Hiding from the gallery works on every plan, including the trial: you choose what is projected and MyEventQR does not moderate for you.

The limits that actually exist

There is no attendee cap. Demo Mode is 72 hours, 20 photos and 100 MB, photos only up to 10 MB, and it does not become a paid plan. The Event Plan is 90 days and 20 GB, with photos up to 25 MB. The Pro Plan is 365 days from payment and 200 GB shared by the account, with photos up to 30 MB. The quantity cap is storage. Videos are not projected.

There is a brake of 300 files per hour from the same public IP. Hotel Wi-Fi is often one IP for many people: it is not a cap of 300 guests. Someone on mobile data has another IP. There is no figure for photos per minute or for capacity. Periods and storage are on the pricing page. During the beta, payments are not active and the trial does not become the paid event.

Privacy at a work event

The organizer is responsible. MyEventQR stores the photos so you can view them, download them and, if you want, project them. The guest reads that before uploading; the notice links to the privacy policy. Say it in the room as well: photos may appear on the screen, they last for the event plus 14 days after expiry, and then they are deleted.

Only the organizer sees the full gallery. The spectator link shows what is on the screen, not the whole camera roll. With the PIN, watching the live screen requires that code. We recommend turning it on if the link will be forwarded outside the company.

After the dinner, compared with a chat or Drive

After expiry there are 14 days to download; then the files are deleted. Event Plan: two full downloads; extra €0.15/GB (min. €3). Pro repeats share 1 TB a year; then the same. The first copy of each file is always free. On the trial, two full downloads, one file at a time. WhatsApp compresses and Drive asks for accounts. The QR collects what the room wants to share and you decide what is projected.

For a concert or a large hall, continue with Live Wall for concerts. The Pro Plan fits if you organize often or 20 GB is not enough: compare it on pricing, not as a performance figure.

Questions

Do attendees need the company Wi-Fi?

No. They upload on whatever connection they have. If many people share the same public IP, that connection has a brake of 300 files per hour to the event. It is not a maximum number of people.

Can I take a photo off the screen without deleting it?

Yes. Hide from Live Wall removes it from the projection within seconds and leaves it in the gallery, ready to download.

Does Live Wall show videos?

No. Photos only, in a reduced version. Videos, on the plans that allow them, stay in the gallery.

Will the trial cover the dinner?

It is for rehearsing the QR and the screen: 72 hours and up to 20 photos. It does not become an Event Plan or a Pro Plan. For the dinner, check the periods on pricing.
