How to create a free event in 20 seconds
The video is a recording of the MyEventQR screen itself: account sign-up, confirmation and a Demo Mode event, with each step captioned. It lasts 20 seconds and has no audio. The same steps are written below, for anyone who would rather read them or cannot play the video.
What those 20 seconds cover
The sign-up clicks and the form fit in the clip. Confirming the email depends on when the message reaches the inbox, so that part can take longer even if the rest is quick. No card is required. Demo Mode is once per account and does not become an Event Plan or a Pro Plan.
1. Create the account
Open Start free. Sign-up asks for an email and a password, and for you to type the password again. The password needs at least 8 characters, one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number and one special character. If the two fields do not match, the form does not continue. MyEventQR does not ask guests for an account: this account is only yours, the organiser’s.
2. Confirm the email
After sign-up, the screen asks you to check your email. The message carries a link to the address you typed. Until you open it, the account is not active and you cannot sign in. If you do not see it, check spam and use the resend control on that same screen. The link can open in the phone’s browser even if you registered on a computer.
3. Create the event
Once you are signed in, create the event. The name is required, between 2 and 100 characters: the wedding name, or a name for the trial. The description is free and can stay empty. The form button reads “Create Event & Get QR Code”. Saving it takes you to your events.
4. Add the details, and the date if you want
The event date is optional and for your reference only. It does not change expiry or the plan. The Demo Mode period starts when you create the event, not on the day of the celebration. Leave the date empty and the event is still created. You can fill in the name and the description later from the event.
5. Choose Demo Mode
The same form is where you choose the plan. For this walkthrough, keep Demo Mode. It includes up to 20 photos and 100 MB, photos only, for 72 hours, with Live Wall and no watermark. It does not allow videos or voice messages. The guestbook allows up to 5 entries. There are two full downloads, one file at a time. The first copy of each file is always free.
During the open beta, payments are not active. Even if you buy a plan later, this trial event does not convert: the paid one is a separate event. Length and storage are on the pricing page.
6. Keep the QR code
On the event list you can view the QR and download it. Inside the event you can design the card: a large code, with space around it and a light background. Someone who scans opens the browser, with no app and no sign-up, and uploads from there. If you turn on the 4-digit PIN, write it on the card. Without that PIN, someone who only has the link cannot upload when the event is protected.
With the QR in hand you can try an upload of your own and, if you want, open Live Wall. The screen stays empty until the first photo arrives. For the wedding day, continue with guest photos with a QR and the checklist. To decide what is projected, see how to control the Live Wall.
Questions
Does Demo Mode ask for a card?
No. Sign-up and the trial event do not ask for a card. The trial is once only and does not become an Event Plan or a Pro Plan.
Why can I not sign in straight after registering?
Because the account is waiting for the link in the email. Without that confirmation, access does not open. Check spam or resend the message from the sign-up screen.
Does the event date shorten or extend the trial?
No. It is for reference only. The 72 hours start when you create the event. Leaving the date empty does not block creation.
Where is the QR code when I finish?
On your events, with the option to view it and download it. Inside the event you can design the card you will print or show.
